You are eligible to join CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Advantage DualPrime (HMO-SNP) if:
You are entitled to Medicare Parts A and B benefits due either to age or disability. You must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium. If you do not have Medicare Part B, you are not eligible for CareFirst Medicare Advantage and must contact your nearest Social Security office and sign up for Part B.
You live in the service area. This includes all counties in the state of Maryland: Allegany, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Charles, Dorchester, Garrett, Harford, Howard, Kent, Montgomery, Prince Georges, Queen Anne’s, Talbot, Calvert, Frederick, St. Mary's, Somerset, Washington, Wicomico and Worcester.
You must be eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid (Full Benefit Dual Eligible (FBDE) or Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB)) to enroll in our plan.
