We want all CareFirst associates to feel valued in their workplace, and we understand that excellent benefits play a huge part in total job satisfaction. To that end, we are proud to offer many benefits, insurance coverage(s) and resources to all eligible part-time and full-time associates.

When joining the company and during annual open enrollment, you have the option to:

  • Choose from a variety of medical, dental and vision plans
  • Purchase or increase your life insurance coverage
  • Select other benefits designed to support your physical, financial, emotional, social and community well-being

As a new hire, you will have the opportunity to review all the benefits available to you during open enrollment. Before you enroll, consider any life changes that may affect your health or financial well-being. Review your benefits options carefully and make sure to take advantage of savings opportunities available to you.

The "Useful Benefits Information" box to the right includes summaries of the benefits available to CareFirst associates. Some benefits listed may only be available to part-time associates on a prorated basis. Interns, temporary or contingent associates, and part-time associates who are regularly scheduled to work fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for CareFirst benefits.

Although most of the benefits outlined in the 2020 New Hire Enrollment Guide are effective the on the 31st day following the date of hire, some benefits may require voluntary enrollment before they become effective.

From fitness challenges to educational support, associates can earn up to $1,000 in incentives by participating in the wellness program through Sharecare.

Employee Assistance
Employee Assistance Program

The Carebridge Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential support resource for our associates during challenging life circumstances. Carebridge’s trained counselors are available to help you work through stressful situations and find solutions, at times when you just need some extra support.

Wellness Wednesday
Wellness Wednesdays

As a way to promote an active lifestyle, we embrace Wellness Wednesdays. Every Wednesday, associates are encouraged to wear workout attire, take the stairs, go for a lunchtime walk and find simple ways to increase their physical activity.

Biometric Health screenings
Biometric Health screenings

Associates can participate in free, on-site biometric health screenings, on an annual basis, to take a proactive role in their health care.
