Broker Council: An Invaluable Resource
The Broker Council met in December 2000 for its annual holiday luncheon and year-end wrap-up at the Columbia Sheraton Hotel. "The year 2000 is one brokers should be very proud of," noted Shekar Subramaniam, Director of CareFirst Broker Sales. "In the National Capital market, sales far exceeded expectations, and in Maryland, CareFirst products continued to be strong. We thank everyone in the broker community for working together to help us achieve such exceptional growth in our service area."
The CareFirst Broker Council is comprised of over 20 experienced health insurance brokers representing Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Each meeting of the council provides valuable input to CareFirst. By identifying the issues and concerns of the community, CareFirst is able to respond more effectively, offering enhanced products that enable brokers to increase sales.
